WINDSOR, Ont. - Brady Lidster of St. Thomas, had another big week of kicking for the Windsor Lancers. Lidster had field goals of 31, 14, 20 and 12 yards, along with three PATs (point after touchdown) as the Lancers silenced the Waterloo Warriors, 37-0, Saturday in Ontario University Athletics (OUA) football. Lidster sees former Parkside Stampeder teammate Zachary Copeland, next weekend, when the Lancers visit the Ottawa Gee-Gees.

At Toronto, Zach Copeland from St. Thomas, had a 46-yard punt and a 64-yard kick-off, as the Ottawa Gee-Gee's beat Toronto, 15-10.

LONDON, Ont. - Ethan Dolby had eight carries for 55 yards and scored a touchdown, in his first game with the Western Mustangs' football team. The rookie running back from St. Thomas helped the Mustangs shell York University, 83-0, Sunday at Western University. At Ottawa, Zachary Copeland took four kick-offs for 277 yards, for the Ottawa Gee-Gees in a 28-10 win over Waterloo.
Evan Spangenberg of St. Thomas, caught a one-yard pass for a TD, helping the Guelph Gryphons defeat Toronto, 33-10.

OTTAWA, Ont. - Zachary Copeland is expecting big things this upcoming Ontario University Athletics (OUA) football season, for himself and his team, the Ottawa Gee-Gees. The 21-year old from St. Thomas is entering his fourth year at the University of Ottawa and second season playing varsity football as the Gee-Gee's kickoff specialist.

BURLINGTON, Ont. - Brady Lidster is one of 11 all-rookie selections, from the Ontario Universities Association (OUA) football season. The St. Thomas native, a kicker with the Windsor Lancers, connected on 15 of 17 field goal attempts, including a 48-yarder, the longest in the OUA this season. In five games, Lidster made multiple field goals, with a season best four in week seven, a Lancers' win over York. Lidster, a Parkside C.I. graduate, was named Canadian Football Perspective special teams player of the week for that performance.

ST. THOMAS - The Untouchables were just that. Vance Glanville made four interceptions, two for touchdowns, leading the Untouchables to a 27-6 win, in the senior final, for Game Time flag football, at Parkside Collegiate. Logan Hill and Logan Antolak, also found the end zone, while Antolak, Max Daniels and Brianna Vandersar, each caught a pass for a one-point covert. The senior game was one of three division finals, to conclude the eighth season of the league. In the intermediate final, Creed Green had both TDs, as the Rebels beat the Bills, 14-7. Led by three TDs from Drew Shaw, Mean Machine got by the Irish, 25-20, for the junior crown.

ST. THOMAS - The local flag football finals are set. Six teams in three divisions will battle for flag supremacy, in the GameTime flag football championship games, July 23, at Parkside Collegiate. The junior final features Mean Machine and Irish, at 9 a.m., followed by the intermediate final, between the Rebels and Bills, at 10 a.m. Goal Diggers and the Untouchables meet in the senior final, at 11 a.m.

LONDON, ON. - It was St. Thomas Hawks down on the final day of flag football. The Hawks fell in both of their respective Under-10 and U14 divisional finals, for the London Minor Football Association, Sunday, at City Wide Fields.
The Cobras scored in overtime to edge the Hawks, 24-18, in the U14 divisional final.

LONDON, ON. - Thanks to a pair of touchdowns from Gage Lincoln, the St. Thomas Hawks are heading to the London Minor Football Association Under-14 flag football pod A final. The Hawks held off the Cobras A team, 27-24, in the first of two semifinals. The Hawks remain undefeated, after posting a 7-0 regular season record. St. Thomas faces the Cobras A team in the U14 final, Sunday, November 8th, 12:30 p.m. at City Wide Fields. The Hawks are also in the U10 final, earning a bye following an 8-1 regular season.

LONDON, ON. - The St. Thomas Hawks finished first in two divisions in the London Minor Football Association. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is no tackling this season, so it's flag football.
The Hawks finished first in their Under-10 pod with a 8-1 record. This feat earns the Hawks a bye to their final at City Wide Fields in London, Sunday, November 8th, at 10:45 a.m.
St. Thomas has two teams in the U14 division. The A squad won their pod going undefeated at 7-0, while the B Hawks finished 2-5.
Both U14 teams have semifinals, this Sunday. The U14 Hawks (A team) face Cobras B in a semifinal, this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The U14 Hawks B take on Cobras B, at 11:45 am.
The U12 Hawks are 3-3 and conclude their regular season this weekend. The
Hawks need to finish top two in their pod to advance to the final, on November
8th.

LONDON, ON. - The St. Thomas Hawks have regained the title. For the second time in three seasons, the Hawks are the London Minor Football peewee champions, after defeating the Bulldogs, 26-19, at City Wide Fields. St. Thomas completes the 2019 season undefeated. The Bulldogs found the end zone first, but the Hawks replied with 19 points, for a 19-6 advantage. Gage Hamilton with two, Jovan Chase and Nathan Bush, scored touchdowns for the Hawks. Aidan Sweeney with two and Garin Roles had the Bulldogs' majors.

LONDON, ON. - The St. Thomas Hawks made quick of their opponents in both the atom and peewee semifinals, to advance to their respective London Minor Football final, Sunday, November 3rd.
In peewee action, Kris Vigers had four touchdowns as the Hawks cooked the Cobras, 53-0. In the atom semi, Kaden Leonardes had three TDs, while Kolten Bergeron and Eoin DesRosiers, each had two TDs in the Hawks' 54-0 blow out
of the Red Storm.

LONDON, ON. - The It was a pair of first place showdowns between the St. Thomas Hawks and the Cobras. Now with one week remaining in the London Minor Football regular season, the Hawks are in the driver's seat and still undefeated, for both the atom and peewee divisions. The peewee Hawks won 34-18 and the atoms were victorious, 29-7. The tykes fell 21-7.

LONDON, ON. - The St. Thomas Hawks will be an answer for a trivia question. Who was the first team to play at 1Password Park in St. Thomas?
The tyke Hawks were first to run out on to the Canadian Football League (CFL) sized artificial turf field, part of the 26 hectare park located along Burwell Road.
More than two years in development, the park with a $10.7 million price tag, features the CFL field with lights, 36 different sized soccer fields, basketball courts and a multi use trail.
Both the peewee and atom Hawks won their London Minor Football games, while the tykes had a rough debut at the new park.

LONDON, ON. - Devonte Ballantyne scored four touchdowns to lead the London CCH Crusaders over St. Joseph's Rams, 38-6, cruising to the District senior football title, at City Wide Fields.
Keegan Vanek had an interception return for a touchdown and Julian Sanchez kicked a field goal and five single point converts. CCH led 38-0, before St. Joe's scored late in the fourth quarter with Luke Ainsworth finding the end zone.

LONDON, ON. – The East Elgin Eagles are Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) junior football consolation winners. Clarke Shackleton had two touchdowns, one on an interception return, as the East Elgin Eagles torched London Clarke Road, 41-6, in the final, at City Wide Fields. Jaden Vansevenant had a touchdown and kicked a field goal and five converts. Matt Peters also scored an Eagles' TD. The Eagles led 41-0 before Shawn Parkington got Clarke Road on the board with a TD.

The St. Thomas Hawks are London Minor Football Association Atom champions. Kolton Bergeron and Mason Glover scored touchdowns as the Hawks held off the Red Storm, 13-6, in the final, at City Wide Fields. Glover also caught a two point convert pass from Bergeron after his major.
Zephyr Hatch had an interception late in the second quarter that stopped a Red Storm's drive.
It is back to back seasons winning titles for the Hawks', who won the
peewee division a year ago.

LONDON, ON. – Jaden Vansevenant scored three touchdowns and booted four extra points as the East Elgin Eagles blanked London Oakridge, 35-0, in a Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) junior football consolation semifinal. Matt Peters had a pair of TDs and Clarke Shackleton, one major.
After opening the season with three losses, the Eagles have now won four consecutive games, including their
consolation quarterfinal over Ingersoll.
The Eagles take on the London Clarke Road Trojans, in the TVRA junior consolation final, Wednesday, November 7, at City Wide Fields.

LONDON, ON. - This time the snake got the best of the bird. Two early touchdowns carried the Cobras to a 20-18 edging of the St. Thomas Hawks, in London Minor Football Association atom action, at City Wide Fields. It is the first loss for the Hawks after opening the season at 4-0. Now the Hawks and Cobras are tied for first place at 4-1-0, two points up on the Red Storm (2-0-2). Both the Hawks’ tyke (21-7) and peewee (21-8) teams won their games versus the Cobras.

ST. THOMAS - The St. Joseph's Rams' defence shined brightly under the lights. Luke Ainsworth had touchdown runs of 12 and 21 yards, as St. Joe's blanked the Mother Teresa Spartans, 13-0, in a District senior football night game, at St. Joseph's high school.
St. Joe's is 2-1 in a tough District division that includes powerhouse London football schools, CCH and Aquinas.
The Rams' junior remains undefeated at 3-0, following a 52-7 crushing of the Spartans. Ethan Dolby caught three TD passes.

LONDON, ON. - Mason Glover and Kolten Bergeron scored touchdowns as the St. Thomas Hawks improve to 4-0, muzzling the Bulldogs, 15-0, in atom action, for the London Minor Football Association, at City Wide Fields. The Hawks sit alone in first place, two points up on the 3-1 Cobras. Over their first four games, the Hawks have outscored their opponents, 72-13.

LONDON, ON. - Mason Glover scored a rushing touchdown and caught a TD pass from Kolton Bergeron, helping the St. Thomas Hawks defeat the Wolverines, 18-7, in London Minor Football Association Atom action, at City Wide Fields. Bergeron also ran the ball in to the end zone for a touchdown.
"We had a full team effort for 60 minutes. Our defence was gang tackling and flying to the ball," Hawks coach Andrew Walker said. "The offence was moving the ball on all drives and working as a team."
The Hawks also shined with their sportsmanship, adds Walker, "on the part of Matt Poppelton helping up players on the other team when they got knocked down."

LONDON, ON. - The Hammers didn't waste time avenging a loss to the St. Thomas Hawks in the 2017 peewee final. On opening day of the 2018 London Minor Football Association season, the Hammers scored three touchdowns in the second half, on way to a 30-12 win over the Hawks, at City Wide Field. Both the Hawks' tyke (35-21) and atom (31-6) teams won their openers.

AYLMER, ON. – It is sweet redemption over a local rival. Zachary Copeland, Camerin Zimmer and Nathan Uytterlinde, scored touchdowns, as the Parkside Stampeders defeated the East Elgin Eagles, 25-6, in the Thames Valley Regional Athletics junior football final, at East Elgin secondary school. The win avenges the Stampeders' lone blemish on their 7-1 overall record, a 20-15 loss, in their season opener, here at East Elgin, September 28.

No one could stop the St. Thomas Hawks this year, not even a team of Hammers.
Joey Crevits scored two touchdowns and quarterback Brady Lidster was named MVP, leading the Hawks to the London Minor Football Association peewee title, breaking the Hammers, 41-11, in the final, at City Wide Fields.
In a game played over two days, interrupted due to lightning on Sunday, the Hawks never wavered, completing an undefeated season, at 9-0, including playoffs, outscoring their opposition, 330-46.
Lidster, ran in for a TD, kicked a field goal and booted all four two-point convert attempts. Henry McGuigan and Ethan Dolby, also found the end zone. St. Thomas led 8-0 after one quarter, when the game was suspended. The
Hawks held an 18-3, at half-time.

LONDON, ON. - Mykal Donald and Willie Mboko scored touchdowns, as the St. Joseph's Rams eliminated the St. Andre Bessette Bulldogs, with a 28-7 win, in a District senior football quarter-final, at St. Andre Bessette. Luke Ainsworth kicked two field goals and Jack Ainsworth booted a single, for the Rams. St. Joe's defence held the Bulldogs scoreless, until a touchdown, with only 10 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The Rams face London STA, in a semi-final, at TD Stadium, on Friday.

ST. THOMAS - The St. Joseph's Rams waited until the final two minutes, to rally for a 20-15 win over the Regina Mundi Titans, in London District junior football, at St. Joseph's high school. Rams' Jackson Miller and Cameron Fast scored touchdowns within 37 seconds of each other, with only 1:33 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Titans had taken a 15-7 lead, earlier in the quarter. Rayden Aphayuong had first quarter major for the Rams, who improve to 2-1.

ST. THOMAS - The St. Joseph's Rams' offence was never able to get on track in a 14-3 loss, to the Regina Mundi Collegiate Titans, in London District senior football, at St. Joseph's high school.
St. Joe's led 3-0, at half-time, on a single and a safety. But the offence struggled without starting quarterback Alex Craig, out with an injury.
Titan running back Otito Nwaogu took over in the second half, with yards gained on the ground and a pair of touchdowns.

AYLMER, ON. – Drew Foster tossed four touchdown passes, leading the Parkside Stampeders, over the East Elgin Eagles, 26-2, in Thames Valley Region Athletics (TVRA) senior football, at East Elgin Secondary school. Foster twice hit Brad Grignard, including a play for 105 yards. Foster also found Ash O'Connor and Rowan Jones, on plays that led to the end zone. The Stampeders successfully converted TD's twice. The Eagles picked up a point on a rouge and a single from a missed field goal.

The St. Thomas Hawks' peewee team kicked off the 2017 London Minor Football Association season, devouring the Rams, 56-14, at City Wide Fields.
Joey Crevits, Brady Lidster, Will Kervin and Liam McGuigan, combined for seven touchdowns. Lidster, the Hawks' quarterback and kicker, also made good on all seven two-point converts. Leading 8-6 after one quarter and 32-14 at half-time, the Hawks tore up the Rams in the second half.
Both St. Thomas tyke and atom teams lost to the Rams.

LONDON, ON - A fourth quarter 72-yard touchdown run by Roje Anderson, secured a Woodstock College Avenue Knights shocking 29-21 win, over the previously undefeated Central Elgin Titans, in the TVRA Varsity football final, at TD Stadium. The Knights stormed out with 22 unanswered points, all in the second quarter. Then the Titans replied with a run of their own, scoring 21 consecutive points in just 10 minutes.

THOMAS - Ethan Howick rushed for three touchdowns, as the Central Elgin Titans ran over the Woodstock Huron Park Huskies, 41-6, in a TVRA Varsity football semi-final, at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute. Jake Rick, Jordan Bennett and Rod Gutmanis, also scored TD's for the Titans, who remain undefeated this season.
