EnergIce skates to silver

OAKVILLE, Ont. - EnergIce won a silver medal in Adult 3, at the Synchro Series four event, behind champions, Unity Image from Tavistock, at the 16 Mile Sports Complex. East Elgin Encore was 14th in Adult 3, while EnergICE Edge placed 15th. EnergICE placed seventh in Adult 2.

EnergIce skating gala

AYLMER, Ont. - Eight teams and four soloists many for the first time, performed at the EnergIce Synchronized Skating Gala. Hosted by the St. Thomas Skating Cklub, 91 skaters from age four to 59, displayed their skills for a full house, Saturday at the East Elgin Community Centre. EnergIce featured their Beginner, Star 3, Star 4, Juvenile, Adult 3, Adult 3 Edge and Adult 2 teams. Madison Wright, Sadie Cummings, Emilee Aspden and Sutton Beattie, a day before her fifth birthday, made their debut solo skates. The Dorchester Star 3 Dragonflies made a guest appearance.

EnergIce skating to keep things synchronized

ST. THOMAS - EnergIce is back on the frozen pond skating to be in synch. The St. Thomas Skating Club's synchronized skating program, has grown from one adult team a dozen years ago, to seven teams with over 80 skaters this season.
New this year with Energice, are Adult 3 Edge, Star 3 and Star 4, joining Beginner, Juvenile and Adult 2.

St. Thomas EnerICE third in Adult 2 and Adult 3

ST. THOMAS - St. Thomas EnergICE teams, representing the St. Thomas Skating Club, placed third, in both the Adult 2 and Adult 3 categories, at a Skate Ontario synchronized skating series, March 19-20. EnergICE's pre-juvenile team was third in their technical score and sixth overall, at Skate Ontario provincial synchronized skating championships, March 27, at Mississauga.

St. Thomas Energice top 10 at skating regional

AYLMER, ON. - St. Thomas Energice was sixth in both the Adult II and Adult III divisions, at the Ontario Regional synchronized skating championships, held at the East Elgin Community Centre. The Port Stanley Waves placed eighth in Pre-Novice, while the East Elgin skating club was 12th in Adult III. NEXXICE, with Dorchester's Emily Van Berkel, won the Junior division.

Van Berkel returns to World Junior synchronized skating championship

DORCHESTER –  Emily Van Berkel will be skating with the world’s best. The 17-year old Lord Dorchester Secondary School student, heads to the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating championship, in Neuchatel, Switzerland, March 14-16, with team NEXXICE, representing the country as Canada One.

Synchro skaters descend upon Dorchester for Invitational

DORCHESTER - Over 100 teams are in town for the first event of the 2018-19 Skate Ontario synchronized skating season. The North Dorchester Skating Club along with the London Skating Club, is hosting the Bill Phillips Memorial Invitational, at the Flight Exec Centre. Teams from as far away as Kincardine, Trenton, Peterborough and the province of Quebec are competing in one of the 10 divisions.
Dorchester's Dragonflies performed in the Elementary division. The Waves, of the Port Stanley Skating Club, had the top local performances, placing fifth in the Elementary division and sixth in Pre-Novice.
The St. Thomas Skating Club's EnergIce was sixth in the Adult II division and 10th, in Adult III. Out of the East Elgin Club, Encore skated in the Adult III division.

Hind fifth in Star 6 Women at Skate Ontario

KINGSTON, ON - Emma Hind, of the Port Stanley Skating Club, placed fifth, in Star 6 Women, at the Skate Ontario StarSkate championships, March 16-18.
Miracle Collins, also from the Port club, placed 16th, in Gold Women.

Silverthorn Memorial at Timken Centre

ST. THOMAS –  Skaters from across the province are showing their skills during the Dennis Silverthorn Memorial Invitational, a three day event that started Friday, at the Timken Centre.
Miracle Collins, out of the Port Stanley Skating Club, placed third, in the Gold Women flight. Emily Watson, from the St. Thomas club, finished seventh in Star 7 women.
