LONDON, Ont. - Northdale Central had quite a medal haul.

The Dorchester school athletes brought home medals from 12 events at the Thames Valley District School Board Valley track and field championships June 3 at Western University.

Brooklyn Samko broke the junior girls (Grade 5) record in the 400 metre dash, finishing in one minute and 8.79 seconds (1:08.79), and also won gold in the junior girls 800 metre run (2:50.03).

Dutton-Dunwich boasts three champions, all in the bantam boys division, with Joey Leitch winning high jump with a meet record leap of 1.38 metres, Mac McCaffery, the 80-metre dash and Holden McKillop, both the 400 and 800 metre races.
