DORCHESTER, Ont. - Five players from three Dorchester Dragons teams in the Lambton Middlesex Local League (LLML) U11 divisions, were selected for the league's All-Star game.

The game featured 41 players from the division's 32 U11 teams, with the North teams (Team Black) playing the South teams (Team Red), April 12 at Parkhill.

Team Black won 5-3.

Dorchester Dragons Stefan Vujcic had two goals, while Cameron Gardner picked up an assist.

All-Stars' highlights

Kase Tong is described as a rock steady stay at home defence-man by his coach. Tong was the anchor of the U11 LL2 team. Known for his strong skating, he competed in the fastest skater competition during the All Star Game. Tong shut down every team's top players and was a leader on his team. The Dragons won two tournaments this season.

Clark Rankin is described by his head coach as a power forward who dominated the LL2 division. Rankin was a force at both ends of the ice, potting 43 goals in 50 games this season. Rankin won the All Star Game shooting accuracy competition, the only player to take down all four targets in the allotted time. The LL2 Dragons' captain was MVP at the Dorchester tournament. The LL2 Dragons also won gold at Windsor.

Ender Alexander had a fabulous season as a minor aged goaltender with U11 LL2, posting 11 shutouts and producing a 1.79 goals-against average (GAA) in 47 games played. Alexander was a top goalie in LMLL from season's start, earning an unanimous selection to the All Star Game. Along with Rankin, won the DMHA and Windsor tournaments. Ender was also an affiliated player of the Dragons U10A team.

Cameron Gardner playing primarily forward, but filling in when needed on defence he led U11 LL3 in scoring with 57 goals and was an affiliated player for the U13 LL1 team. A fierce competitor at game time, but also a sportsman he led his team with zero penalty minutes in all games this year. Gardner was the Dragons' leading scorer at two tournament wins. Gardner competed in the shot accuracy competition taking down three of four targets.

Stefan Vujcic is described as a steady reliable player who shows up and competes every day and would sacrifice his body to help his team win. A 50-plus goal scoring forward from U11LL1, Vujcic developed a fearsome wrist shot, that terrorized the league's best goalies with bar down bullets. In the skills competition he took part in the team shootout. As a minor aged (2015) player, Vujcic has another year at U11.
