Landry and Chapman score touchdowns in 14-0 win

LONDON, Ont. - The St. Thomas U12 Hawks kicked off the 2024 London Minor Football Association season they same way they finished the 2023 year. Winning the game.
Jack Chapman scored a touchdown and caught a pair of two-point passes as the U12 Hawks won their season opener, blanking the Bulldogs, 14-0, Sunday in London Minor Football at City Wide Sports Park.
St. Thomas won the U12 championship last year, capping an an undefeated season.
The Hawks scored all their points in the second quarter in their first game as reigning champs.
Connor Landry had a TD and racked up 66 yards. Cohen Burmingham compiled 40 yards, Hudson Ungar, 24 yards and Brett McClenagham, 22 yards.
On defence, Maverick Williams returned a fumble recovery 30 yards and Jack Campbell made an interception.
Anthony Dale made four tackles and one sack, Cal McCoubrey, three tackles and two sacks and Mason Killough, two tackles and a sack.
In U10, the Hawks and Bulldogs tied at 42. In U14, the Bulldogs silenced the Hawks, 27-0.
