Tep-Chhun silver at TVRA girls golf

LONDON, Ont. - Jade Tep-Chhun is the Thames Valley Region Athletics (TVRA) girls' golf silver medalist.
The St. Joseph's Ram carded a 18-hole round of 79, in A flight at the TVRA championships, at Thames Valley Golf Club.
Celina Yeo, of London Aquinas, won the tournament with a 73, leading her school to the A flight team title.
Katie Shand, of London Banting, was third, with a 90.
A flight is club players who play at provincial events outside of school throughout the year.
The Central Elgin Titans team of Janay Gillard, Sloane Maudsley and sisters Becca and Sandra Nurton, took the B flight (nine holes) team title.
Becca Nurton finished fifth in the B flight individual standings.
Christina Kim, of Arva Medway, won B flight with a round of 46
Jaylan Garrett, London Lucas, was second (49), followed by sister Teegan Garrett and Eva Kim of London Beal.
St. Joe's (Katelyn Fox, Andie McGugan, Emma Hawes) placed third in B flight.
The Western Ontario championship (WOSSAA) is at Mitchell, Tuesday, October 3.
Qualifiers (top team, top three individuals) from WOSSAA move on to OFSAA, the high school provincial championship, October 11-13 at Batteaux Creek Golf Club in Collingwood.
