St. Thomas loses in Peewee final, at the Boston Pizza Cup major tournament

ST. THOMAS - Three St. Thomas Jr. Stars' teams advanced from their pools including the peewee team, at the Boston Pizza Cup major tournament, with games played at the Joe Thornton Community Centre, Memorial arena and in Aylmer.
The tournament featured 40 teams from across the province, in novice, atom, peewee, bantam and midget divisions.
The peewee Stars blanked the Woolwich Wildcats, 2-0, in the semifinals, before falling to the Owen Sound Attack, 5-1, in the final.
Aidan MacMillan and Kaesyn Deleebeeck scored for St. Thomas in their semifinal, while goalie Logan Griffiths posted the shutout.
Over in the Atom division, St. Thomas rallied to edge Owen Sound 6-5, in the final. More on the Atom major final.
The Stars lost 2-0, in the Bantam semifinals, to the London Jr. Mustangs Purple, who went on to defeat North Durham, 5-2, in the final.
The Novice Stars won two games on Friday, but dropped two games on Saturday, to finish at 2-2. The midget Stars were 1-3.
For the midget division final, Lorne Park Wild dumped the Orillia Terriers, 3-1.
In the Novice final, the North London Nationals defeated the Southpoint Capitals, 5-3.
The Jr. Stars' minor and AE tournament, is November 16-18.
