Parkside defeats South Lions, 33-17, improving to 4-0 in TVRA junior football

ST. THOMAS - Merrick Rollins and the Parkside Stampeders keep rolling.
Rollins scored five touchdowns, bringing his season total to 13, as the Stampeders galloped over the South Lions, 33-17, in Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) junior football, under the lights, at Parkside CI.
Cole Surmacz and Connor Ward, with a superb catch, also had TDs for the home side. Rollins also kicked three point after touchdowns.
South led 7-0 early, but Parkside responded 75 seconds later, tying the game, on Rollins' first rumble in to the end zone.
The Lions took a 10-7 lead on a Deaglan McNamara second quarter field goal, before the Stampeders scored four consecutive TDs.
Jacob Rowley and Ali Self, had TDs for South, converted by McNamara.
Parkside remains undefeated at 4-0, first in Central Darnell junior division.
South won the senior match, 44-0.
