St. Thomas goes 3-0 winning at Impact basketball tournament

KITCHENER, Ont. - The St. Thomas Shock have opened the girls' basketball season golden.
The Shock won the U16 division, at the Impact Jamboree tournament, Saturday, finishing with a 3-0 record.
St. Thomas defeated Brantford Warriors, 59-34, in the final, Saturday,
Hannah Wedlake dropped 14 points, Jayla Oum had 11, Abbie Neil, 10 and Emily Chapman, eight.
The Shock features players from Parkside, Central Elgin and St. Joe's high school junior teams.
St. Thomas opened with a 50-38 win, over Burlington Force, with a balaced attack. Wedlake had 12 points, Chapman, 11, Hailey Titchner, 10, Lucy Doan and Jade Lawrence, both six.
Rylee Wilkinson had 11 points, Neil, 10 and Wedlake, eight, as the Shock zapped Halton Huskies, 56-44.
