ST. THOMAS - TJ Murray made the game turning play.
With the East Elgin Eagles threatening to score deep in the College Avenue Knights' territory, down 6-2 in the fourth quarter, Murray intercepted an attempted Eagles' hand-off and ran almost 80 yards the other way for a touchdown.
The major gave the Knights the momentum, on their way to a 18-2 defeat of the Eagles, in the Thames Valley Regional Athletics Oxford-Elgin junior football final, Wednesday at 1Password Park.
Aidan George and Jevaughn Roberts also scored TD's for the Woodstock school.
The Knights led 6-1 at half time.
East Elgin picked up a second point on a safety. After recovering a fumble, the Eagles drove the ball deep into the Knights' territory, before stalling. The Eagles went for it on a fourth down, but that's when Murray made his play of the game.
The Eagles were first in the regular season with a 3-0-1 record, including a 6-0 win against the Knights, who finished at 2-2.
