Port, Southwold, win at CECI tourney

      Warm-up for upcoming TVDSB elementary volleyball playoffs, starting Tuesday

ST. THOMAS -  It was a tune-up for upcoming Thames Valley District School Board volleyball playoffs.

The Port Stanley girls and Southwold boys, were champions, at the Central Elgin Titans' elementary school tournament.

Port Stanley won a three game thriller over the Mitchell Hepburn Mustangs, coming back to take the girl's title, 24-26, 25-22, 16-14.

Southwold beat Port Stanley, in straight sets, 25-21, 25-11, for the boys' crown.

The Thames Valley District School Board elementary volleyball playoffs start Tuesday, November 21. The regional finals are Tuesday, November 28, with the Board championships taking court, Saturday, December 2.
