ST. THOMAS - For a third consecutive year, the Summer's Corners Sabres have won the Elgin County girls' slo-pitch tournament.
The Sabres defeated the Trudeau Voyageurs, 9-3, in the final, following a semifinal win over the Lockes' Lions, at the Tarry Complex.
Sabres' pitcher Brianna Syrnyk delivered on offence too, with a three-run homer and a triple.
Both finalists and Locke's, who placed third, advance to the Thames Valley District School Board Valley championship, at Stronach Park, in London, June 11.
