ST. THOMAS - Brooke Gustavson had a memorable regional track and field meet, taking home three gold medals, May 21 at Parkside C.I.
The Southwold Cougars Grade five runner set the meet record winning the junior girls race 1500 metre race in five minutes and 56 seconds (5:56). Gustavson also won the junior girls 800 metres and as boys and girls were combined, beat the boys in both races.
Gustavson then joined Ellory Carr, Bria Stokes and Mia Habib, to win the junior girls 4x100-metre relay race.
All event winners from bantam to open divisions, move on to the Valley championships, June 4 at Western University.
