KOMOKA, Ont. - The St. Thomas Panthers had to settle for runner-up in the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League (WOGHL) U11HL division.

The Woodstock Wildcats shutout the Panthers, 3-0, in the U11HL final Wednesday, at the Komoka Wellness Recreation Centre.

Scoreless after two periods, the Wildcats broke open for three goals in the third period. Charlotte Roy with two goals and Avery O'Leary scored.

In the semifinals, the Panthers edged Mooretown, 2-1, in overtime, with Erika Bartlet scoring the winning goal. Mooretown led 1-0, before Liv Jordan knotted the affair.

"These girls have done so well," Panthers' head coach Jeff Bogart said. "The never quit in these girls is so amazing."

Goalie Sydney Orchard, Sammy Lee and Sophie Illing, represented the Panthers at the WOGHL U11 all-star game March 26 in Milverton.
