Dorchester captures two ringette titles 

   

 At Western regionals, Dragons' U19 and U14 teams both win gold

LONDON, Ont. - Avery O'Brien had a pair of goals and Loralee Brady netted the game winner, as Dorchester came back to defeat Waterloo, in the Ringette Ontario Western Regional U19 final, Saturday, March 23 at Western Fair Sports Complex.

Dorchester trailed 4-1, before scoring four unanswered goals. Alyssa Sutcliffe and Faith Mulholland, also scored for Dorchester. Keely Van Horne picked up two assists.

The Dragons finished 3-1-1.

Ashley Dobson netted two goals in Dorchester's 6-2 tournament opening win against Forest. Sutcliffe, Brady, Avery O'Brien and Jadelynn Graves, completed the Dragons' goal scoring. Charlotte Rose drew two assists.

Dorchester fell 4-2 to Waterloo, with goals by Van Horne and Mariza Coelho.

Dobson and Brady both had a goal and one assist in a 3-3 tie with Exeter. Mulholland also tallied.

Coelho and Dobson, each had a goal and an assist, while Mya Mendes scored her first goal, in a 3-1 defeat of St. Catharines.

The U14 Dragons also won their division going 4-0.

In the final, Dorchester trailed 2-0, before scoring three unanswered goals, two from Havana Reaume including the game winner and one by Brinlee Duffield. Ava Brown and Peyton Graves picked up assists.

Reaume rung up a hat trick and Paige Mason had two goals and an assist, leading Dorchester to a 6-3 defeat of Guelph. Graves also scored and Chloe Atkinson had an assist.

Ava Brown fired in four pucks and Duffield netted three goals and had one assist, as the Dragons burned Oshawa, 11-3. Reaume had a goal and two assists, while Graves and Atkinson also scored. Olivia Hesslemans and Paige Mason, both had two helpers.

Reaume had a second hatty in the Dragon's 4-3 squeaker over St. Catherines. Mason also scored, while Myelle Reaume and Sadie Somers has one assist each.
