SOUTH WOODSLEE, Ont. - Andres Lagos delivered a RBI single in the bottom of seventh and final inning, to lift the Dorchester Diamondbacks to a 10-9 win over the Essex Yellowjackets, in the final of the 16U tournament June 18 at Woodslee Orioles Park.

Lagos finished three for three and drew a walk to first base. Both Lagos and Bryson Pettit had two RBIs.

In the semifinals earlier on Sunday, Evan Stevens tossed a complete game five hitter over seven innings, striking out seven batters and walking just one, as Dorchester defeated the LaSalle Titans, 8-2.

Ryan Johnson and Chase Stratten, both had a pair of hits and one RBI.

Dorchester had dropped their first two games of the tournament, to Tecumseh and Kawartha, 7-6 and 9-4, before defeating the host team, 11-4.
