Westmount defeats Summers' Corners, 8-4, in the TVDSB girls' slo-pitch final,
a year after losing to the Sabres in the championship game

LONDON, ON. - The London Westmount Wolves take the rematch.
Four runs in the fourth inning proved the difference, as the Wolves doubled up on the Summers' Corners Sabres, 8-4, in the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) elementary girls' slo-pitch final, at Stronach Park.
The win avenges a loss to Summers' Corners, in the final a year ago.
Westmount led 1-0, after three innings, before pushing four runs across the plate, in the fourth inning, using three singles and a double.
The Sabres got on the board in the home half of the fourth. In the sixth inning, the Sabres scored a pair of runs, on a two-run single by Alexa Loewan.
Westmount added to their lead in the seventh. The Sabres had their fourth run come in on a Julie Nagelhout sac fly.
Izzy Plain went three-for-four, for the Sabres , while Jos Henderson was three-for-three.
Summers' Corners defeated Byron Northview, 9-3, in the semifinals.
Plain, Henderson, Brianna Syrnyk and Selicia Wall, had three hits each.
