Verhoeven had a double and single, while Alex Pettipiece slapped out two singles, drew a walk and scored three runs. Hare finished with a single and two walks down to first base.
The Cardinals only managed one hit and four walks off four Tomcat pitchers who piled up a total of 13 strikeouts. Only two Hamilton base runners made it passed first base.
Eric Pettipiece struck out the side in both the sixth and seventh innings. Jaryd Lund fanned three batters for a quick third inning. Jake Haak had four strikeouts over the fourth and fifth innings. Thomas Henderson worked the first two innings, to pick up the win.
