ST. THOMAS - The BAD Blazers won their opening game to the Western Ontario Girls Hockey League (WOGHL) U11C playoffs, 3-1 over the St. Thomas Panthers, Sunday at the Joe.

The Panthers led 1-0, on goal by Claire Brokenshire, from Claire Thomson.

Raylee McLeod, Addisyn Kocsis and Vienna Firth scored for the Blazers. Leah Jarrett had the lone assist.

Goalies Blazers Brooklyn Hafso-Anderson and Panthers Molly Payne, both made saves to keep the score low.

The Panthers opened with a tie in their game one.
