Mitchell Hepburn Mustangs and New Sarum Huskies' girls and boys teams both
win TVDSB South-West regional basketball titles

ST. THOMAS - There are two double champions in and around St. Thomas.
The Mitchell Hepburn Mustangs and the New Sarum Huskies both won girls and boys' Thames Valley District School Board SouthWest regional elementary school basketball titles.
In the regional girls' AA final, Mitchell Hepburn defeated the Trudeau Voyageurs, 36-20, led by top scorer Grayson Moore. Anita Renaud dropped 22 points for Trudeau.
New Sarum took the single-A girls' crown dumping the Callwood Cobras, 27-15. Holly Van Gorp and Taylor Pettit led the Huskies with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
All four girls' finalists move on to Valleys, this Friday and Saturday, at various locations in London.
On the boys' side, New Sarum edged the Forest City Firebirds, 25-23, in the single-A final, to earn a spot at Valleys.
In the boys' AA final, the Mitchell Hepburn defeated the Davenport Eagles.
Then Davenport got by Forest Park in the wild card game, to punch their ticket to Valleys.
