ST. THOMAS - The St. Joseph's Rams made quick work of the CCH Crusaders.
Estee Fodor scored twice as the Rams blanked the Crusaders, 5-0, in the season opener to the District girls' hockey season, this afternoon at the Joe.
The game was cut short with about eight minutes remaining in the third period, due to an upper body injury to Ram Jamie Giles.
Brianna Caeiro, with a goal and an assist, Georgia McGinnis, Rachel Loebach and Sophie Pellerine, also scored for the Rams.
Goalie Emma Dodson stopped all shots her way for the shutout.
"I saw a lot of good things," Rams' coach Dave Fox said. "We controlled the puck for much of the game."
In the District, the four schools in the league will play each other three times this season.
The WOSSAA tournament is hopeful but still to be determined.
