Stars' captain Tristan Roberts did everything he could, first putting his team on the board, before giving them a 3-2 lead and then igniting a third period rally.
Roberts initially was credited with a hat trick in the game, but his third goal, pulling the Stars to within a goal at 5-4, was later given to Ben MacRobbie.
Defenceman Tristan Gerth would tie the affair at five, on the power play, with his first goal of the season.
"We started off slow. They were down six players so we should have jumped on them, but we didn't and they scored two quick goals," Roberts said. "Battling back. I don't know how many times I've said it this year, it's hard to battle back. That's what we were doing all game. "That's how it goes when you don't show up to play."
After the Nationals grabbed a 2-0 lead, the Stars scored three times, for a 3-2 lead. That was short lived as Burridge tied the affair 51 seconds later. Tanner Dietz put the Stars ahead at 4-3, but again London replied just over a minute later, before taking the a 5-4 lead into the third period.
"When the chances came we finished, but it's hard to keep scoring and then not reacting to something and they capitalize when we sit back after we score," Roberts said. "When ever you get scored on, you want to jump back your next shift and that's what (London) kept doing. They were down six guys but they had a couple lines that can put the puck in the net."
Ryan Cooper also scored for the Stars. Dietz and Mathieu Paris, both picked up two assists, while MacRobbie and Gerth, also had one helper each.
Stars' goalie Owen Willmore made 36 saves.
"Our goalie played lights out," said Roberts. "It's not Willy's fault the puck kept going in. It's everyone in front. It's hard when it's two on none, two on ones. He got the first one every time but we weren't there to clean it up and keep those guys away from the net."
The captain initially had three goals in the game, but his third was later credited to MacRobbie.
"Anytime I can score I'm going to try to score. The puck just found me today," Roberts said. "First I want to win, because we need wins more than a hat trick on the board."
St. Thomas heads into the Christmas break sitting in seventh place in the GOJHL Western Conference with an 8-16-2-1 record.
London sits a top the conference standings by six points.
Burridge finished with three goals and three assists. Zach Power, Logan Pace-Roth and Ryan Nichols, rounded out London's scoring.
Making his junior debut in the Nationals' net, was Carter Froggett, of Thorndale, called up from the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs' U16 team. Froggett made 44 saves.
