ST. THOMAS, Ont. - Centennial Sports Club, William's Funeral Home and Maxwell's Foto Source, are all celebrating playoff titles.

The trio of teams are the St. Thomas Optimist Softball peewee, atom and squirt champions, winning their respective divisions, during the league's post season tournament, held at the Tarry Complex.

All three divisions, along with a Timbit division, saw action on Friday and Saturday.

Centennial upended RT Signs, 6-1, in the peewee final, avenging a round robin loss. RT led 1-0, before Centennial scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning and two more runs in the fourth.

Centennial opened the playoffs with two losses before winning five games in a row. RT placed first in the round robin, thanks to a 4-1 record.

William's upset previously undefeated Canadian Tire, 11-6, for the atom crown. Canadian Tire finished first in the atom division round robin, going 3-0.

Maxwell's took the squirt title, defeating Kinette's, by six runs.

In the squirt round robin, Maxwell's, Kinette's, and Ansell's, all finished with 3-2 records. Ansell's, the mid season tournament winners, placed third for the playoffs, defeating Gas Tech.
