PCI student attains top four goal, while Eagles ladies' doubles team place seventh

LONDON, ON. - Blake Willmore accomplished his goal of a top four finish.
The Parkside CI Grade 10 student took home the bronze medal, in men's singles, at the WOSSAA junior badminton championships, at Saunders secondary school.
Willmore went 4-2, losing only to the gold and silver medalists.
Abby DeCoutere and Mackenzie Wiebe, the East Elgin Eagles' ladies' doubles team finished seventh, with a record of 2-2.
Picking up a win at WOSSAA: Kayla Voros (East Elgin) ladies' singles; Mikayla Dunn and Adam Dekraker (East Elgin) mixed doubles; Joseph Lasook and Dalton Versteegen (East Elgin) men's doubles; Eric Mclellan and Leaha Johnston (Lord Dorchester) mixed doubles; Lydia Jocius and Paige Doherty (West Elgin) ladies' doubles.
London schools did dominate the tournament, taking half of the 20 top four positions.
