Beavers successful in AA soccer debut

ST. THOMAS - It was a successful debut for the Dorchester Beavers at the AA level.

Jenna Couch scored twice as the Beavers defeated the St. Joe's Rams, 5-2, in both team's season opener to the Thames Valley Regional (TVRA) girls soccer season.

Bella Nolte, Cali Beattie and Megan McLachlin, completed the Beavers' scoring.

Avery Dowson and Ruby Steen, replied for the Rams.

It's the first year for Dorchester at the AA level. The Beavers won the OFSAA single-A title in 2022 and 2023.

St. Joe's is the 2024 host of OFSAA AA, the high school provincial championship, June 6-8.

Annelise Borm scored three times, carrying the East Elgin Eagles to a 3-2 win against Woodstock Huron Park.

The Parkside Stampeders blew out Woodstock St. Mary's in their season opener.
