Stamps, Eagles, open soccer seasons  

   Lady Stamps blank Eagles while the boys battle to scoreless draw in TVRA action

LONDON, ON - Ashley Watson, Savannah Williams and Klara Lattanzio, each scored twice as the Parkside Stampeders opened the 2019 Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) girls' soccer season, blanking the East Elgin Eagles, 6-0, at City Wide Fields. Aviva Fournie and Janessa Davies shared the shutout.

On the boys' side, Parkside and East Elgin battled to a scoreless draw. Eagles' Ethan Cartwright and Stampeder Ian MacDonald had shutouts in net. Parkside held the edge in scoring opportunities and hit three posts.
