NORWICH, Ont. - Three goals in six minutes in the first half of the third period, led the Norwich Merchants to a 5-4 win over the Dorchester Dolphins Friday.
Dorchester led 2-1 after 40 minutes, on goals from LJ Legault in the first period and Lucas Wilson in the second.
The Merchants outburst gave the home side a 4-2 lead.
Colsen Joyce pulled the Dolphins back to withing a goal mid period, but Merchants Ethan Osborne made it 5-3, just 90 seconds later.
Legault's second of the night made it, 5-4.
Dolphins' Colin Langstaff and Quinn Gavin-White, picked up two assists each.
The Dolphins out shot the Merchants, 38-26.
Goalie Darren Hagerty of St. Thomas made 34 saves for Norwich.
Emerson Monk, Ethan Osborne, Seth Cooper, Jack Birkbeck and Mason Demeulemeester, scored for Norwich.
Dorchester falls to 1-4, in the PJHL Doherty Division.
Peter Kushner was handed a checking from behind major early in the second period, an act that caught the attention of Merchants Caden Craggs, who attempted instigating a fight with Kushner.
The Dolphins have three games in three nights this weekend.
