Stampeders blank Eagles in Field Hockey season opener

LONDON, Ont. - The Parkside Stampeders opened the 2026 TVRA field hockey season, blanking the East Elgin Eagles September 22, at City Wide Sports Fields.

Mackenzie Nagy, Regan Reeve and Isabel Rodgers scored.

All of the games on day one were shutouts.

Saunders silenced the Central Elgin Titans, 5-0, with Emily Walters potting three goals and Miigis Wilde and Katie Vilon, one each.

The reigning OFSAA champion, Medway Cowboys blanked the West Elgin Wlidcats, with Leah Veal, Addyson Franklin, Kazia Smith and Lily Van Dinther scoring.

Ingersoll won twice, downing Central Elgin and East Elgin.
