TORONTO, Ont. - Lily Ryder from St Thomas, with Fanshawe Falcons women's soccer team was named an Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) female athlete of the week.
Ryder scored twice in the Falcons season opening game, a 3-1 win at home over Sheridan.
At the Ontario Universities Association (OUA) level, Annika Nolte from Dorchester is the Nipissing Lakers female athlete of the week, after a hat trick in a women's soccer victory over Laurentian.
Not to be out done, Nolte's sister, Bella, is a Nipissing Peak Performer, scoring twice in the same game.
