TORONTO, Ont. - Brady Lidster of St. Thomas (photo), made his pro debut today as kicker for the Toronto Argos.
Lidster made field goals of 24, 37, 47 and 48 yards, as the Argos defeated the B.C. Lions, 26-12. Lidster also twice made the point after a touchdown.
"Feeling grateful for the opportunity and happy to be able to represent my family, hometown and Windsor University," said Lidster, who was told Thursday he'd be in the game. "I was feeling some nerves in the morning before the game, but after I started my warm up, I settled in easily."
Selected by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2026 CFL draft, Lidster spent training camp with the team before being released June 1.
The Argos signed Lidster July 15.
Last season with the Windsor Lancers, Lidster was the top kicker in Canadian University, named a First Team All-Canadian.
In 38 career games at Windsor, Lidster kicked 81 field goals and had a succes rate of 75 percent.
