ST. THOMAS - The London District Baseball Association 18U Select playoffs continues to stretch over more days.
The Dorchester Diamondbacks lost their first game of the playoffs to London West, 12-7, Tuesday at Emslie Field.
The two teams meet again Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Meanwhile Alvinston waits for the winner after eliminating St. Thomas Monday night.
Games were postponed Sunday due to rain and field conditions.
Dorchester led 5-1 early, before London West scored five runs in both the third and fourth innings.
London West only had five hits in the game, but drew eight walks and capitalized on four Dorchester errors.
London West made seven errors.
Kiptyn Glover led Dorchester batting three-for-four, with two RBIs and also swiped two bases. Joe Howey had a pair of singles, drew a base on balls and drove in a run. Landon Richardson had a RBI triple.
Brody Millard and Max Graham combined for a five hitter, with only two of the 12 runs earned.
Alvinston broke a 7-7 affair by scoring four runs in the home half of sixth, for a 11-7 win over the tournament hosting Cardinals.
The Cardinals were held to five hits, two by Wyatt Green. The redbirds took advantage of 11 walks in scoring their seven runs.
