Dolphins first back to back wins
Dorchester doubles win total defeating New Hamburg and Hespeler
DORCHESTER, Ont. - Back to back.
For the first time this season the Dorchester Dolphins have won consecutive games, doubling up on New Hamburg, 6-3, Saturday, October 17, on home ice and downing Hespeler, 9-2, next day on the road.
"Feels great. We played two complete games," Dolphins' head coach Jordan Fuller said. "We identified some areas of weakness and improved them immensley these past two games."
It was all Dolphins at Hespeler, breaking the game open in the second period with six goals, while outshooting their host 21 to four. Alex Joyce, Colsen Joyce and Quinn Gavin-White, both scored twice, while Gavin-White and Colsen Joyce, each drew three assists.

Connor Crandon had a goal and two assists and captain Mavin Smith, a goal and one assist. Isaiah Perrotte also scored, while Liam Brulotte picked up two assists.
The Dolphins had their two veteran defencemen leading on the blueline.
"Had Mavin Smith and Liam Brulotte both in the lineup at the same time for the first time all year and it obviously made a difference," Fuller said.
Brulotte has only played seven games and Smith, eight games. Not only does the pair bring a calming presence on the blueline, both chip in offensively, with seven points combined in their 15 total games.
At home Saturday, the Dolphins scored twice in the third period to secure victory.
Gavin-White had a two goal game with one assist. Lucas Wilson scored twice, Ethan Bourgeois had a goal and one assist and Crandon, one goal.
Colin Langstaff collected three assists, while LJ Legault picked up two helpers.
"We've shown lots of qualities of a good hockey team this weekend, but good teams do it game over game, so we need to do that and build on this momentum next weekend," Fuller said. "Need to keep taking care of our own zone, see the areas we made improvements in and really dig into those."
The two wins doubles the team's total, improving their record to 4-7-0, moving the Dolphins to fifth place in the PJHL Doherty standings.
Dorchester continues their road trip next weekend, visiting Norwich on Friday and next night at Paris.
Gavin-White leads the Dolphins and is fourth overall in PJHL scoring with 27 points in 13 games, with 11 goals and 16 assists.
Colsen Joyce sits second in team scoring with eight goals and eight assists. Legault has four goals and 10 assists and Wilson, three goals and 10 assists. Tanner Ducharme leads the D-core with three goals and five assists.
