LIMBURG, Belguim - Canada's junior women's team pursuit, with Eve Buczkowski of Talbotville and Alex Fangeat from St. Thomas, placed fourth, at the UCI Junior Track Cycling world championships .
Canada lost to host Belguim in the bronze medal race, after falling to Italy in the semifinals, Thursday, at the Sport Vlaanderen Zolder velodrome, a 250-metre wooden track.
The Canadian foursome broke their nation's record twice, lowering the time to four minutes and 26.096 seconds (4:26.096).
Elodie Malois and Sandrine Veilleux, complete the Canadian team.
The championships, for riders aged 17 and 18, continues to Sunday, including races, keirun, madison and individual pursuit and time trial.
