
SASKATOON, Sask. - Cassidy Broderick of St. Thomas is among the best teenage female baseball players in Canada.
Broderick, who played at third base with Team Ontario, helped her provincial team bring home the silver medal, at the 2026 National 19U women's National baseball championship, July 30 - August 2.
Quebec won the gold medal, blanking Ontario, in the final.
Ontario defeated Saskatchewan, 11-7, in the semifinals.
One of the Broderick's highlights was a base clearing double against British Columbia.
Three years ago, Broderick and Team Ontario also took silver at the 16U level, also falling to Quebec in the final.
Broderick has been with team Ontario program since making the 16U team as a 14-year old in 2022.
