LONDON, Ont. - The St. Thomas 16U Cardinals won their fourth tournament of the year, by capturing the London District Baseball Association (LDBA) title.
St. Thomas beat North London, 7-5, London Talons, 12-1, and Talons again in the final Sunday, 7-2.
These red birds have won the LDBA every year since their 8U year. The Cardinals went 21-1 this summer in the local league.
St. Thomas, with an overall record of 34-2-2, have the Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) AA championship next weekend in Burlington.
The Cardinals won tournaments at Brampton, London and their own Cardinal Classic.
