ST. THOMAS - The Glendale Gemini handily won the team title at Thames Valley Regional Athletics Association (TVRA) Tri-County tennis, today at Pinafore Park.

Glendale, from Tillsonburg, won four of the five disciplines, men's singles, mixed doubles and both girls and boys' doubles, capturing 42 points, 17 points ahead of the second place Parkside Stampeders.

Lauren Okrainec won girls singles, defeating Parkside's Afimaa Dankwa, in the final.

The top two in each of the five disciplines advance to WOSSAA, back at Pinafore Park, May 25.

Glendale's Trevor Nunn edged Stampeders' Andrew Monteith, in a tie-breaker, for the boys singles crown.

In the girls doubles' final, Glendale's Casen Homick and Makenna Brown defeated Dorchester's Jocelyn Pollard and Isabel Siew.

Cole Toth and Sydney Moore of Glendale, beat West Elgin Wildcats Karter Rowsom and Heidi Acres in the mixed doubles final.

The Wildcats boys doubles team of Jordan Palmer and Grant McDonald, also finished second, losing to Glendale's Evan Scaman and Gavin Luksys.

The East Elgin Eagles placed third as a team, but unfortunately have no players advancing.

Dorchester's Luka Palajsa will head to WOSSAA, in boys' singles, as Monteith is unable to attend, due to WOSSAA track and field occurring the same day in London.
