Medway beats Parkside, 1-0, to complete a 8-0 record at TVRA field hockey
a seven team two day tournament for this year 's title

LONDON, Ont. - The Medway Cowboys not only ran the table they kept it clean.
Sid Arts scored the lone goal and goalie Emma Dykeman posted a shutout, as the Cowboys blanked the Parkside Stampeders, 1-0, in a game featuring the two top teams from the round robin, at Thames Valley Region Athletics (TVRA) field hockey, at City Wide Sport Park.
Medway never allowed a goal going 8-0 over the seven team two-day tournament.
Parkside finished with a record of 5-2-1.
The East Elgin Eagles were 3-2-1 in the round robin, but lost to both Medway and Parkside in the championship round.
Kaylie Goodhue and Shayla Congdon scored in Parkside's 2-0 win against East Elgin. Medway blanked the Eagles, 3-0, with Charlotte Maltby, Erika Steele and Katie Weber scoring.
In the consolation final, the Central Elgin Titans fell 2-0 to the Strathroy Saints.
Central Elgin blanked Ingersoll, 2-0, in the consolation semifinals, on goals by Jaylee Nowlan and Ivey Ludwig, while Strathroy silenced the West Elgin Wildcats, 3-0.
The Eagles completed the round robin with wins over both the Titans and Wildcats.
Shelby Laidlaw and Mya Farr sandwiched an Iman Zabian goal, as the Eagles edged the Titans, 2-1. Sara Simpson with two goals, Faith Farquhar and Mackenzie Steele, scored in a 4-0 silencing of the Wildcats.
Following a day one record of four wins and a tie, Parkside roughed up the Wildcats, 7-0, but fell to Medway, 5-0.
Central Elgin finished the round robin at 2-4, losing to the both the Eagles and Strathroy.
That will be the season as TVRA has pulled out from WOSSAA and OFSAA competition.
