Double bronze for Kilmer at karate worlds

ST. THOMAS - Bronze is better than gold for Kenzie Kilmer. The 15-year old from St. Thomas brought home two bronze medals from the World Karate and Kickboxing Commission championships, held in Niagara Falls, New York, in November. Kilmer captured a bronze in open team kata weapons and a second bronze in girls' continuous sparring.

No quit in Kilmer

ST. THOMAS - Kenzie Kilmer could have quit. No one would have questioned a decision to step away, considering the condition of her ankle and the early prognosis from medical professionals. No one expect, Kilmer herself. Kilmer overcame a serious ankle injury to earn a spot with Team Canada at the World Karate Commission (WKC) championships, this November, in Niagara Falls, New York.

Kilmer brings home world gold

ST. THOMAS –  Kenzie Kilmer is a world champion. The St. Thomas native won the gold medal, in the light contact 11-12 years old girls' division, for continuous sparring, at the World Karate championships (WKC), held in Orlando.
