ST. THOMAS - The St. Joseph's Rams will play one more senior match.
The Rams advance to the District senior girls volleyball B final, following a three games to none dusting of the Bessette Bulldogs, at St. Joe's.
St. Joe's took the best of five affair, 25-16, 25-19, 25-22.
"We really talked to each other. We had a lot of smart plays, like not setting it to someone who's not there," Rams captain Taylor Arthur said. "We did well with our serving. That was consistent. We were really supportive of each other. We didn't let anyone get down, if they didn't look happy after a play. We'd bring them back up."
The Rams face Monseigneur-Bruyere in the final, Wednesday, at London Aquinas high school, at 6 p.m.
"Obviously we want to win, but the most important thing for us would be finishing off on a good note," Taylor said.
St. Joe's juniors' season ended with a three games to none loss, to London Mother Teresa, in an A semifinal.
In other volleyball action, the Lord Dorchester won both their Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) senior and junior 1-A semifinals against Glencoe and will host both finals on Thursday. The junior Beavers will take on the Titans, who dusted the Wildcats, in three straight games in their semifinal.
The East Elgin Eagles swept aside Woodstock Collegiate in a AA semifinal on home court. The Eagles face Ingersoll in the final, in match of the top two teams in the TVRA South-East division from the regular season.
