                                    Zachary Copeland

Year in review: Football, safety, wide receiver, kicker, lost to Lucas in TVRA semi-finals; Senior basketball, forward, lost first round TVRA Central AAA playoffs to Oakridge; Track and field 2019, OFSAA West regional for discus and javelin, WOSSAA for 4x100-metre relay; Student Athletic Association president. No track and field in 2020.

Top moments: "Being able to play my last game of high school football with some of my best friends and teammates that I have won championships with and seen grow over four years."

Career highlights: Winning WOSSAA football in grade 10 (first time in school history); Beating East Elgin in our playoff game in the 2019 football season; Going to WOSSAA for basketball in Grade 11.

Memories of PCI: "Parkside was like a culture to me and I think you truly had to attend Parkside to understand it. Everyday, I was excited to go to school and be in an environment with very positive teachers who were focused on making us students the best we can possibly be. Everyday I would be able to either go to a sport practice or game with some of my best friends and truly have fun and enjoy myself. Everyone within Parkside wanted every Stampeder to succeed, whether it be on or off the field, and that's what made it special for me. Also, being able to compare myself going into Grade nine versus where I am today, going into university, it is amazing to see how much I have grown and it is special to know that I would not be where I am today if four years ago, I chose to go to any high school other than Parkside."

Outside of PCI: Trains (kicker / punter) with Kick Elite Specialists.

Looking ahead: Studying Human Kinetics, at the University of Ottawa, football scholarship with Gee-Gees.
