LONDON, Ont. - Three schools brought home hardware from Valley basketball.

Mitchell Hepburn Mustangs, Locke's Lions and Kettle Creek Captains earned medals, at Thames Valley District School Board elementary basketball championship tournaments, held at various locations.

Mitchell Hepburn took silver at the girls triple-A level, held off by Kensal Park, 26-16, in the final at Westminster high school.

The Mustangs opened with a 19-10 win over Parkview, before defeating Pearson in the semifinals. Anna Verbruggen led the Mustangs in points over the three games.

Kettle Creek won bronze, sinking Old North, 28-10, in the girls single-A third place match at Clarke Road secondary school.

The Captains, out of Port Stanley, defeated Rick Hanson in their opening game, before falling to Woodstock Roch Carrier in the semifinals. Roch Carrier went on to win gold, defeating Northridge.

Locke's captured boys triple-A silver.

All three schools are their respective division Elgin County champs.
