ST. THOMAS - St. Thomas had the monopoly on the London and District Baseball Association (LDBA) 18U house league championship final.

It was an all St. Thomas Cardinals affair, with Yurek Pharmacy silencing Dowler-Karn, 15-0, in four innings, at Emslie Field.

Collin Banman pitched four perfect innings, on just 43 pitches, for the win.

St. Thomas Yurek upended top seeded Delaware-Komoka-Mt. Brydges (DKMB), 15-12, in a Saturday semifinal that required two extra innings.

Tanner Moir picked up the win, while Jackson Lale earned the save.

Yurek recovered from a playoff opening 8-3 loss, to Byron, on August 6th, letting a 2-1 sixth inning lead slip away, before reeling off four consecutive wins.

Moir scored 12 runs over Yurek's five games, while Spencer Peel crossed the plate eight times.

"Props to Kyler Smart who threw two amazing games on the mound, allowing just one earned run over 13 plus innings of work," said St. Thomas Yurek head coach Brent Lale.

St. Thomas Dowler-Karn thumped Southwest, 16-1 and doubled up on Oakridge, 6-3, before falling to DKMB. Dowler-Karn defeated Byron Sunday morning, to advance to the final.

Yurek finished the LDBA regular season in second place with an 11-6-1 record, behind DKMB's 12-3-1. Dowler-Karn placed fourth, at 9-8-1.
